Shibori

Shibori is a technique that includes folding the fabric then binding it with rubber bands or sandwiching it between wooden blocks to create a variety of shapes and lines. After the fabric is folded and bound, it then is ready to be dyed.

Resist

Hundreds of natural and synthetic pastes can be used to resist the dye. A resist can be applied by painting with a brush, stenciling or spraying directly on to the fabric.

Pole Dyeing

Wrapping, binding or sewing fabrics onto poles create wonderful unpredictable waves of dye.

“What a great workshop! My friends and I had a blast. It was an awesome day of being messy and just having fun. I love the project we made. I intended to give it as a gift, but I think I will keep it for myself. I can't believe I made this!”
